COMING CLOSER TO CHRIST:  

This week Pope Francis calls all Christians to stand together with the many parts of the world where Christians are deprived of the fundamental right for freedom of worship. The Church is always under persecution, and while we in Canada may not feel the effects of religious injustice nevertheless our hearts cannot be oblivious to plight of so many displaced Christians. Let us pray with the Pontiff that the love of God prevail over the hardened hearts of the leaders thwarting religious liberty.  

SERVING OTHERS:   

Consider stocking your car with warm wear to share with those living on the streets. We often encounter vulnerable people walking between the car lanes at traffic lights. Having on hand socks, blankets, gloves or even a gift card to get a hot drink makes all the difference to a suffering soul.
