COMING CLOSER TO CHRIST
We are meant not only to know but even more to experience God’s love and mercy, his leaving the 99 and going out to search for us. In what ways has God pursued you while you were away from him? How has God been like a good shepherd who found you and returned you to the fold? 

SERVING OTHERS
As the school year starts, the family planning calendar gets filled up blocking out weekly dates for piano lesson, sports practices, dentist appointments, hair cuts; but what about a family penance day? Make it a family priority to go together for a bi-weekly or monthly confession date. Some families spruce it up with tagging on a fun celebration afterwards to look forward to, such as “Confession & (ice cream) Cones”. Mark it in your calendar for this regular family date. Forgiveness never tasted better!
