Holy Thursday

“In the present situation, in which we find ourselves living more or less isolated, we are invited to rediscover and deepen the value of the communion that unites all the members of the church. United to Christ we are never alone, we form one body, of which he is the head. It is a union that is nourished with prayer, and also with spiritual communion in the Eucharist.” – Pope Francis

“A new commandment I give to you that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” Holy Thursday is above all else a mystery of the heart. Christ reveals the love that is in his heart. He reveals the plans and promises of his heart. He promises to send the Holy Spirit into our hearts. He prays to the Father to protect the Church in his heart.

This Holy Thursday, let us contemplate his heart so that he can, in turn, transform our hearts.
