11th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Spiritual Take-away
What can we compare the kingdom of God…It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs.

Union with God
Everything begins with prayer and union with God. Allow your mustard seed to grow in God’s presence, before the Blessed Sacrament. “They that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish….” Spend some time before him thanking Him for his presence and asking for light.

Encounter with others
How do these words by St. Teresa of Avila take effect in my life? How can God use my hands, feet, eyes…

“Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands, no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes with which Christ looks out with compassion to the world. Yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good. Yours are the hands with which he is to bless us now.”
