Heavenly Father, you have placed in us the care of each other and our children. Give us the strength and patience to cope with the many ups and downs of family life. Grant us the grace to be deeply thankful for its many laughs, joys, and blessings. Let our children come to know of your love through our love for them. Help us as we try to make ours a home where love dwells, a home like that of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in Nazareth. When we fail each other and when we hurt each other, soften our hearts so that forgiveness and reconciliation comes quickly and easily. Protect our home, Lord, and let it flourish in your light and in your love.

Lord, we bring our children to You, and we place them in your hands; we ask you to hold them close to you, to guide and protect them, to let them experience your peace, so that they may always grow strong in your love.
