Synod on Synodality – Sacred Heart Church

Synod on Synodality
Our Holy Father Pope Francis has invited the Catholic Church to embark on a journey together. Through listening and discernment rooted in the Holy Spirit, the entire people of God will be called to contribute to a process by which the Church deepens in understanding of Her mission in the world today.
Through our listening and our sharing, we will seek to understand what the Holy Spirit’s will is on the topic of journeying together as a Church.
Now in the diocesan phase of the synod, Sacred Heart Parish is hosting a series of listening sessions where we will come together to pray, hear the Word of God, and participate in a small-group discussion on the topic of journeying together as a Church. We invite you to join one of these sessions:
Tuesday, March 15: 7pm-9pm online via ZOOM
Sunday, March 20: 10:15 am – 12:15 pm
Saturday, March 26: 6:15 pm – 8:15 pm (Participants asked to pack a snack)
Sunday, March 27: 8:45 am – 10:45 am
Saturday, April 2 9-11 am
April 7: 7-9pm online via ZOOM

Each session will be about two hours long and will be held in the basement hall (except for the online ZOOM sessions). Those unable to make it in-person and are familiar with ZOOM are encouraged to join one of the online listening sessions.
The fruit of these discussions will be synthesized and submitted to the Diocese, who will in turn do the same for all parishes and submit to the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, in preparation for the Synod of Bishops in October 2023.
Thank you for your willingness to participate. We look forward to seeing you at one of these sessions!
