28th Sunday in Ordinary Time

COMING CLOSER TO CHRIST: I shall not want (Ps 23)

In this weekend of Thanksgiving, today’s Psalm told us so beautifully: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… Even though I walk in the dark valley, I fear no evil…”This is our God! Abundant in his generosity, limitless in his mercy. How good it is for us to be reminded of this again and again! Let us give thanks to the Lord for his goodness and let us live this weekend in profound gratitude!

SENDING US OUT:

Last year, we talked about naming the gifts in our lives and creating a gratitude journal. A few questions that can help you develop the habit of thanksgiving:

– Who in your life are you thankful for?

– How have you seen God answer your prayers this year?

– When do you feel joy?

– What memory or image makes you grateful?

Writing down 3 gifts every day, naming gifts, is one of the most transformative acts to “eucharistify” our life. Happy Thanksgiving!
