4th Sunday of Easter

COMING CLOSER TO CHRIST: Good Shepherd Sunday

In today’s gospel, it says “the sheep follow him because they know his voice”. This is a challenge for each of us to ask: do I know Jesus’ voice? We get to know his voice when we pray with Scripture, when we spend time with him, when we are attentive to his nudging. Our own selfish voice and the voices of the world try to diminish our capacity to recognize his voice. Maybe take some time this week to pray with Psalm 23 asking the Good Shepherd to lead us beside still waters and to restore our souls.

CHRIST’S LOVE IMPELS US:

On May 1st, the bishops made a consecration of Canada to Mary, Mother of the Church during this time of pandemic. You can invite your family or those around you to do this consecration in your homes. This is a beautiful opportunity to start the month of May close to Mary and ask for her intercession. https://www.catholicyyc.ca/uploads/6/5/5/7/65570685/marian_consecration_1_may_2020.pdf

We have been working hard to keep the church open as much as possible so that you can come and be with Jesus, receive the sacrament of Reconciliation, or visit your loved ones in the Columbarium. If you are able, could you please commit to donating so we can continue to serve you?
